I know of only a couple of YS 50's in the USA. I know there is probably a few more. But I only personally know of a couple of people that actually have one. I don't believe the USA importer/distributor of YS has ever had any 50's. I don't know of any place that has had the YS 50's in stock for any period of time.

Hallo Ratte :-)

Looks like the same story as everywhere else and has been since the first batch was release in very limited numbers.

Its a nice little engine but considering all the hassle a hyper is just as good, maybe better.

Why would they even list it when its not buyable? I think you need to ask them if they're selling them. They probably do this to avoid selling to the masses.

Email them and ask them. But I would think they had a few from the first batch and have not been to get any since then. So they put not buyable instead of out of stock. I seriously doubt they have any of the YS 50's. Other than the two people I know that actually have a YS 50. I have seen very few posts on any of the forums about them. So they may only be less than 200 of them in existence worldwide.

Bambusratte,
I may be wrong. But I don't believe YS Performance that is the YS importer/distributor here in the USA. I don't believe they ever had any of the 50 size heli engines. They did have one on a display at Toledo Trade show couple of years ago. It was not a working engine from what I saw.

I sold one on RR a long time ago. I never ran it even but I got it from Cyber heli on a preorder.

I checked and I sold it to LDR in Sarcoxie, MO.

Daniel,

I have one in a Raptor.
Not so long ago, I wanted to buy another one in Japan, but none of the shops in Tokyo had one. YS is currently not producing I guess.

I had a friend stationed in Japan, the poor guy must have spent what an engine would cost in gas driving around looking for one for me and came up blank.
