MHF warning

MHF Mike Fortin has stolen $75.00 and refuses to return it. I am not the only one he has done this too. Concider this a warning for everyone, do not deal with him.

Just posting an acusation whithout just details is not right to the other persons involved. And I'm Sure Mike would appreciate a chance to rebutt if he wishes.

I agree, let us hear what actually took place for you to make this accusation. Not saying something didn't happened. But from the post you made above there is not much substance from it to make any decisions.

I have had a bad run in with MHF as well. Several months ago I bought a 60B carb from him. After several weeks of excuses about how he shipped it and it was lost ...blah blah blah ... never returning emails ... yada yada ... I filed a paypal complaint and they refunded my money. Mike could never prove he shipped the carb .. no receipt, tracking, or insurance.

I paid for an EZ-UP that he was selling on the 14th of july. I asked for shipping information from him, I kept getting " oh I will get it " Never got it. He then said UPS returned it to him and would give me a refund. So far no refund. I have also issued a complaint with PayPal. He could not provide proof he shipped the item or any other information PayPal wanted.

I would like to hear Mike's reply on the following as well,
1. On 7/29/04 V-22 Osprey paid Mike $145.00 for an OS engine and has never recieved it to date.
2. On 8/8/04 Realtor Paid Mike $20.00 for a sullivan starter, he has not recieved that yet.

This is his standard method of operation as you all can see.

I am doing this so others will not be ripped off by him.

I bought a MP1 from MHF advertised on RR with header $35. After few weeks and a inquirey ...girl friend shipped to wrong place and it was sent back ...few weeks later I get the pipe in good shape...NO HEADER. follow up email ...can't find it.

OK, that same week his GIRL Friend (seneca says a *****) and he split. OK lifes a *****... so I say my loss. But I see now that this is a pattern and I don't like it.

Mike....It'll come back to you BAD 10 fold if you keep doing people wrong.

Ok, Since your add stated it included the header and it's not avaliable, I'll send you back the pipe at my expense and you Paypal me back the $35 and I'll eat their charges.
If you do find the header, I'll still stay with our original deal ...just let me know and send it to me. I know how hard stuff is to find when I really want to find it and it's very aggrevating to not , but so is not getting what you pay for.
I have no hard feelings or anything. You've been very up front with me and I appreciate it.

OK Guys. Mike said he would make good. Especially if your not directly involved, please give him a chance to make good. This post is here out in the open for everybody to see. I'm sure the people directly involved will be keeping us all up to date, so if your not directly involvbed, please just sit back and see how it unfolds.

It is far better to let these guys work things out than for a bunch of people who are not involved to start in on Mike.

I do think that if you owe someone money you need to make every effort to satisfy the debt. This may mean not buying fuel or parts for a while. I for one could not enjoy flying w/ fuel I bought w/ someone elses money. :?

HF is here to help facilitate the working out of problems like this, and to be effective, this thread needs to be posted to by the people involved and not 3rd parties. Well another week has gone by and still no engine from MHF. I sent him a PM earlier this week and he told me it was all good. He also wants me to tell everyone when the engine comes in…not sure how long I’m supposed to wait. I paid him $145.00 on the 26th and after a week of no replies I jumped into one of his post on RR to provoke a response. This upset him enough to reply saying it had been shipped last week, this was the 1st of Aug...shipped last week of july! According to MHF it is still in the mail. He has no tracking information and has done nothing since except say it’s in the mail. I have had hundreds of things shipped to me with no problems. I’m on a military base, if you get the zip right it will get to me. If it is lost (not very likely) he needs to step up and take responsibility.

Thnx for the heads-up on this guy, I say he has shown his worth, and posting it here is the right thing, so others like myself (third party) dont become a "second party" to theifs like this. if ya sell something ya ship it the very next day, with tracking of some sort, simple, honest and fair, end of story.

Same story he told me about the carb .... I do TONS of biz with the USPS with no problems. Of the hundreds of things I have shipped, the one time I had a problem I personally took care of the buyer.

It seems like everything he ships gets lost :?

I think if a guy wants to make a good deal he will. It seems like this guy doesn't want to make good deals. I for one am tired of getting shafted with internet deals and am glad someone is bringing this guy's name out in the open.

If helifreak.com wants us to lay off the guy then maybe you should hire MR as your moderator. He's the one who said to lay off Lior and not let the mob go after him.
