I need to pick up some heat shrink to do my Align ESC and need to know what size I should get.

1.5-inch diameter? for a small wire? Are you talking about the length or diameter for the heatshrink? If you are talking about length then OK, but if you are talking about the diameter then the diameter of the heatshrink should be slightly larger than the diameter of the wire or pin/connection of the joint. Do not use the soldering iron to heat the tubing unless you really know what you are doing. Use a cigarette lighter or heat gun to shrink the tubing.

When he said Align ESC, I assumed he meant the heat sink mod, which requires that you replace the heat shrink over the entire ESC. THAT takes 1.5 inch. The wires themselves are pretty easy to figure out what size to use.

I should have been specific I meant the motor wires from the ESC to the motor.

well, most heatshrink is 2:1 ratio unless you know what you're ordering.

measure the width of the bullet connectors. I'm guessing 1/8" or at worst, 3/16"

Tow ways I do it. Measure wire, buy net size up het shrink.

Or, buy pacakge of mixed sizes and pick the one that fits.
