I'm in the process of building up a Fury extreme Just finished building up the head and now I'm on to the frames.....however What is the benefit, if any, of installing the one piece front tranny block verse the standard setup?

If there are benefits i'd rather wait to go any farther and install it then have to re-tear apart the heli to replace it.

Thanks!

The stock two piece setup will work fine. The advantage of the one piece block is if in the future you plan to change the front pinion to a 15 tooth pinion. To use the 15 tooth front pinion you will need the one piece bearing block, or you will have to do some modifications to the existing bearing block that comes with the Extreme.
The Extreme comes stock with a 16 tooth front pinion. 16 tooth is 4.33 ratio to the tail rotor. 15 tooth will give a 4.66 ratio to the tail rotor.
For Example
at 1750 rpm on head, tail rpm would be 8155 with 4.66 ratio
at 1750 rpm on head, tail rpm would be 7577 with 4.33 ratio

That is a difference of nearly 600 rpm with 4.66 ratio ( 15) over the 4.33 (16).

Also the one piece block will be stiffer in the middle bearing block position of the main shaft.
