I am new to nitros and thinking about getting one but I was wondering why aren't there air filters for the engines? How about a KN filter charger?

they severely impact performance of the engines.
If you are flying in a really dusty area, reconsider your flying site, or improve it to reduce the dust.
I've used a couple sheets of moisture resistant drywall in the past, lasts 8-9 months before turning to fertilizer. (lime)

I used a KN filter on one of my nitro's. They hardly obstruct the airintake. They are large so not suitable to every heli but if you have room in front of the airduct you can install it using a piece of silicon normally used for exhaust and tiewrap it down.
