Pinion size ie. motor speed for novice pilot

I am putting my Trex SA together, using align 430L motor and have an option of 11 or 13 tooth motor pinion. I can fly a blade cp in FF, but am far from 3D capable. So, slower or faster head speed?

The 11 tooth should be just fine to start with and save the 13 tooth for when you start 3D and need the extra head speed. The 11 will also give you a bit longer flight times.
