Guys,
I have been given an MSR to use for orientation practice (I am learning to fly a Trex 450 and 500).
It needs a few dollars spent on repairing and prior to committing the funds, I thought I would check it over.
The manual mentions tail rotor increase on a right command and rotor decrease on a left command.
The rotor does speed up on right, but on left, I can see no slow down with the tail rotor, but the main rotor increases in revs considerably with the smallest left rudder command.
Is this normal?
I also note that the servo gears are a bit worn. Servo motors appear to be ok but the servos gears are a bit noisy. Replacement gear sets are out of stock everywhere until end June. Would it matter if I ran them like this, given servo motor movement seems ok?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Steve
