Just finished building a Titan for use in my scale MD530 fuselage. I'm optimizing the machine for duration rather than all out 3D.
The ship is still very maneuverable and climbout is very respectable. Here's the specs from today's duration flight. Fuselage is not installed yet. This is pod/boom for this flight.
Total Flight Time 18:00 Minutes
Raptor Titan
8.3lb AUW
620mm Mavrikk's
Actro 24-5 Heli motor
Raptor 30 gearing (9.56:1)
CC85HV ESC at 95% gov.
Two FlightPower 5s5000 New Formulation packs (10s)
OAT 77°
Batt 93°
Motor can 88°
Motor Core 128°
ESC 89°
Avg. Amp draw 14A
Avg. Mah/min 234mah
Total mah used 4218mah
Avg. volts 37.8
Avg watts 529watts
I could easily have went another minute but 18:00 is a safe point and still have 16% margin.
I expect adding the fuselage will consume about an extra 100 watts and run time will decrease slightly but I should still be able to fly for 15:00 or 16:00.
I LOVE these new formulatuion FlightPower packs and my Actro 24-5 motor! A fantastic combination!!!
Below is a graph of the flight as logged by my Eagle Tree Micro-Logger
