Why don't you post more pic's of you're dady's stuff and show us how great you are!!! :badair:
You got tossed on RR and on AP landings. On Rotory Seneca called your BS Thermalcam scam so Post how great you are I know I'm pumped! Dude you are like the class clown only you don't know it.
Take a hike so the real AP GUYS!! can talk. Oh and thanks for the few junk front mounts you stuck us with. :bomb: You were missed! NOT!

Wow! Why don't you say what you really think? This is a joke right? I guess from the spelling and grammar it must be school vacation time correct?
BTW, He is indeed currently listed as a member of AP Landings, perhaps you have confused him with someone else?

AirBorne1, I think that DJ has contributed more to the development of low cost/high quality setups than anyone else I've seen on ANY forum. You bring this pointless rant you just puked up to contribute HOW? Have anything useful to say? If not, please keep your rhetoric to yourself, please.
DJ, thanks for sharing. I for one am HAPPY with the things I have bought from you. Don't let the troll get you down.

So... back on subject...
DJ, what do you think was key to getting such a duration?

I think the Actro motor has a lot to do with it. I know mine is much more efficient than the Hacker.

These Actro Motor are so efficient!
I can fly for 26 minutes on my Maxi Joker (Actro 24-5, 70-32+V3, 800mm blades, 10s4P 8000) for 80% of my pack capacity!! Now we talk! With my camera Payload of 7.5 pounds, I get 15-17 minutes for the same capacity.
I understand DJ to be happy with that, I'm totally impressed too

Yes it's John O. at it again.
Can you believe he called me yesterday and told me (in almost these exact words)
"I can make your life a living hell... if you think that credit card deal I charged is over think again. The Retailer can do ANYTHING!. You just wait and see!"
Then he hung up. I've changed all my credit card numbers and he got the infrared camera back (on 9/22/06) that he forcefully sent me. I don't know what his deal is but if he attempts to charge my card again $7750 it's only going to hurt his case.
BACK ON TOPIC!
Yes the ACTRO!!! also I feel the FlightPower packs keep voltage up very well resulting in low amp draw (14A!) If I had 1lb of ballast on the helicopter it would have been the same weight as a certain JR helicopter that is said to fly for 25 minutes. I expect that it would have required 585watts to fly at that weight which would be around 15.7amps draw. At 15.7 amps I could have flown for about 16 minutes with 16% reserve or 18 minutes if I pushed the packs hard.
I think my setup is the closest to reaching that claim. With a light front mount and point and shoot I could easly have the ship weigh in at 9.3lb.
Hmmmmm...... I think I'll add some ballast to the ship and do another flight. I'll log it with the Micro Logger as well because I back up my claims with hard data unlike others.

I think if I drop the headspeed down a little I could regain an extra 50 wattts. Something more to try.

Need an an instant troll BAN button for asshats like this, I cant believe how childish a person could possibly be especially when doing business in the public eye, Just seeing this information will make never goto Airfoils web site again or even bother talking about their products.
Didnt mean to hijack the thread but that was ridiculous.

Sorry If I missed it. What headspeed are you running?
I never saw the total mah consumed item on a graph before. Is that something new?
Oh yeah, where did you stuff the packs? Will they fit inside the canopy/fuselage you are putting on there?

I am not running the RPM sensor yet. Will install that tonight but I am guessing 1750 or so at the start. The Cumulative Mah can be set to display on the graph (along with a TON of other parameters)
The packs are currently on the gear legs similar to my E-RaptorCam. I will make some G10 plates for them to mount up to when inside the MD530 fuse. Should be plenty of room. I'm considering dropping down to 5s3700's for the scale ship to reduce weight. Should still get plenty of flight time with them.

This duration is really not that hard to acheive on a scale electric. I was pushing 20 min on my e-raptor 222 with a Z50-600 and 4000mAh packs. I was completely amazed.
I guess the 3D and high headspeeds really kill the packs.

no guessing needed.... just look at the numbers. a 3D 50 sized ship can peak at 3.5kw and is usually averaging over 1kw.
AP and scale are nearly the same style of flying with about the same weights and a 50-90 ship averages 500-800 watts with maybe 1.4kw peak.
I'm flying between 13-23 amps on my 10s ships and the 3D guys are banging around at 40.
You were doing well to get 20 minutes on 4000's 10 or 11s I assume?
