When I hook my Astro 109 up to my Align 4200, it is reading it as a 5 cell. I cant see any damage to the battery. Any ideas would be appreciated.

This is due to the low voltage of the cell - supposedly the Astro 109 gets round this by charging regardless of battery voltage for the 1st 3 minutesbut this doesn't always work - if you repeat the charge cycle x2-3 times you will find it correctly charges it as a 6S battery. You shouldn't do any damage with it charging as a 5S as it won't go over 5 x 4.2 = 21V - you simply won't get a full charge till it recognises it as a 6S.
Incidentally if you use the new Flightpower V-Balancer with the Align 4200 6S2P you will find that the socket is 8 pin and the battery plug is 7 pin - if you make sure the battery balancer plug goes in next to the black balancer main battery output lead it works OK. I have added an alignment mark to make sure I get it right !

Thanks, I charged it slowly and it came back to life as a 6 cell.
