Default Tail Question

My build is done and I am working on electronics and setup. The stock length recommended for the rudder linkage puts the tailblades at nuetral with no offset for right to counteract the main blade torque. The linkage arm is also pointing toward the back instead of 90 degrees to the boom. The 3G section of the instructions also calls for the tail slider to be set up with 50% to each side, which again is probably not the nuetral point if you set up the tail in rate mode on the gyro. I have always set up all my helicopters to be mechanically nuetral on the tail so the gyro has to do the least among of work.

What did you guys do here? Did you screw the instructions and set up with the proper offset? Doesn't the 3G allow for a different left and right full travel endpoint?

I think the GP780 is like the GY401 in that the slider should be centered on the tail rotor shaft and no rate mode setup is necessary.

I would make sure the servo arm and tail control arm are 90.

Just a quick update. I did screw in the tail rods more that the instructions called for to get close to nuetral, but never bothered to set up in rate mode to be perfect mechanically. The tail was locked solid immediately without fooling with anything.
