Not enough power and too hot. People used to run an OS Surpass 52 in helicopters, but were lucky to have the power of a 30-sized two stroke. The only current kit that I'm aware of that uses a four-stroke engine is one from Vario that uses the 1.60 dual-cylinder boxer from OS. It's more of a novelty item than anything else.

if I remember correctly...Larry offered a 4 stroke machine about 12 years or so ago...I remember really wanting one at the time because they sounded so damn cool!

My first Intrepid was a four stroker, had an OS .91FS, but was converted to .61 two stroke. Four stroke would be cool for scale apps for the sound and relative lack of performance, but doesn't stack up for the "new" age high rotor speed, awesome, instantaneous power today's pilots want. :noteworthy
