Hi guys,
Just been resetting the head on my Blade and have a slight issue.

I get the swash level @ mid stick but when I apply full pos & neg collective the swash becomes unlevel and then during flight when I apply collective the heli dips forwards and drifts away.

I have gotten around it by lengthening the rod so that the heli slightly pitches backwards as it's lifting off but when it gets to about 3/4 stick it doesn't pitch forwards and drift off.

No I know this isn't ideal and I have gone over Solkal's vids lots of times but it only describes getting the swash level @ mid stick. How do I get it level across the full range of collective? Do I need to change the travel adjust of my servos? I have fitted HSMG65's and never changed the travel adjust after fitting them, could this be my problem?

Also, how can you tell if the servo arms are @ 90 degrees? Do you just eyeball them?

You level at full up and down colective using the servo end points or atv whatever you like to call them. Say you give full up and the elevator servo is low(swash tilted forward) you leave the stick in up position and click on to the elevator end point(channel 3 on jr and spectrum) and increase the end point until level. It is probably best to leave the pitch servo at 100 both ways(channel 6) and level using elevator and aileron(channel 2) Do this at full up stick and full down. Make sure you are level at midstick mechanicaly first and servos are at 90 degrees. Thats how it is done! If you haven't purchased a swash leveler yet I highly recommend that You do so!!

PS Eye balling the servos to 90 degrees is probably good enough or use a small sraight edge and align it with the servo center and one of the mounting screws. I eyeball mine most of the time

Thanks for that, just the info I have been looking for :) Much appreciated.

You may have some Ackerman built in. Check all of your arms and make sure that they are level at midpoint, especially on the head.

When you build in Ackerman (as mine was from the factory), you can adjust all of the linkages to make the pitch 0 degrees at center stick, but the arms not be level. When you give an input away from center stick, one side is going to move faster than the other because of the angle you have built into the system. It also reduces the throw in one direction.
