Bravo! That's a pretty neat dual mount you've got there, harry. I would give one a try but I already have duals on the tail of my helis. It looks really light too! How much does the one with the fin weigh? :D

Nice mount. I made my own by glueing 2 stockers together. Here's a related tip, if you want some extra tail authority almost for free, stack another tail rotor on top of the existing one. It will end up looking like a airplane prop making an X. The extra load is shared on both motors, so they won't get burnt out easily. Give it a try it works!

How do you correct the C.G. as you can't move the battery far enough ?

I too used my cnc machine to make a dual tail motor fin. I just finished it up and will be putting on ebay soon. I want something that was affordable and good looking. So here it is.

Heli-harry

Im sorry you feel like Im raining on your parade but I hardly think that we are going to make a living selling dual tail motor fins! Also My fin is not the same as yours. Sure it holds 2 motors but the design is different!

So what If I put it in this post that YOU started. Do you feel you copyrighted this post to.

Im up for anything that will help out my fellow heli members.

Guys, both fin/mounts look great. I've all but given up with my Twister=Blade clone thing - so I won't get a fin/mount, BUT had i been persevering with the twitchy little devil and blinging it up. I would def have bought or made a duel mount. I already had a tail motor burn out, I solved it by 1) fitting a heatsink 2) cutting down the tail rotor by 1/2 inch.

Anyhow, nice machining both of you, you'll know duel motors have been around a while, but not with an integral fin. :noteworthy

I don't see how woodknack's fin is any different. Aside from the cosmetic changes, it's the same concept. The dual tail mount on helidirect IS different than Heli harry's.

Yup it is a design change or as you say a cosmetic change.

If everybody had a red car the world would be boring..

What I'm trying to say it's a copy of Heli_harry's design. The dual tail set up isn't new, it's how it is implemented. You can have 2 tail booms with 1 tail motor holder each, you can have 1 boom with 2 tail motor holder, you can have an extension to the original holder (Heli_harry's design), or you can stack 2 stock holders together. (my personal DIY)

The fin design is different then harry's. I did'nt copy harry's design! As far as where the motors go in the fin, there are not very many places to put the motors to make them work right.

Like I said who made the first dual tail motor design??? I don't hear anybody complaining about having different designs to buy. Instead of being stuck with just one.

At the time I informed you that the design was (and still is) copyrighted.

I was just expressing my opinion. This is between you and him, I'm butting out.
