Hi guys,
Spectra-G, GV-1, Stator Gator Sensor, S3152 servo on gas, G231 engine.
Only 8 tanks of gas, still in running-in stage. Gas mixed at 1/30 with Castrol mineral oil. Carb at 1/2 on both needles. No adjustments yet.
When I change from positive to negative pitch very fast, this is what is happening: see video. RPM at 1500. Not tried yet at higher RPM.
When GV is off, no problem.
Servo too slow or the problem will disappear after running-in and carb needles will be adjusted? Or...?

Make the hidden menu adjustments on the gv-1. If you don't know what they are go to RR and search my posts there you will find them.
Also 1/2 turn open on the carb seems to little if I am reading this right. Do you mean 1 1/2?

It sounds to me like the servo used on throttle is too slow, or the linkage is not square.
Try resetting the servo and throttle linkage without using a lot of endpoint or subtrim.
You may also want to try a higher RPM.
BTW if the engine has not been adjusted to optimum performance (leaned) the governor is useless. Fly with curves, GOV off until you get the engine broken in.
A rich condition will also surge like this.

Yes, 1 1/2. Sorry...

A link? Please.. :arggg:

It is square.
Try resetting the servo and throttle linkage without using a lot of endpoint or subtrim.
The servo arm is exactely 13.5mm... like in the manual but,
the servo end points are not +/-100%, they are -130 and + 130%.
Should I try to lenghten the servo arm?
You may also want to try a higher RPM.

It is rich. I will adjust it after the engine is broken-in. After this higher RPM is all I want from this machine

You can try another hole on the servo arm, to reduce the endpoints to something closer to 100%... might be worthwhile.
if it's rich, INH the governor and fly curves until it's broken in, or lean it slightly and continue break-in.
