We use Futaba 9252's.On the tail, a 9256 on a 611 gyro. You would be very happy with the same.

401/9254 on the tail is sufficent for a 50 unless you got an extra 100 to 120 dollars burning a hole in your pocket, then the 611 is a great choice.

9252s are great for collective/cyclic

Thanks guys, and no, I don't have 100 to 120 burning a hole in my pocket. :)

jr 811's are nice, so are hitec 5975's or futaba's 9252's, 401/9254 (never blown out the tail yet )but i'm no youngblood in backward flight. but the 5975's are perfect on cyclic , pitch and throttle. very strong , crisp and center perfect.

I have been changing over all of my ships to the Hitec HS-6965 including the tail with a 401.
This allows me to run 6V to everything for incredibly fast response.
The 6965 can be run in DS mode for the tail and Hitec claims that if the servo is boom mounted and oil gets inside of it that it will be covered under warranty because a sealed servo should not leak.

The 6965 is almost twice as fast and a lot more torque than the Futaba 9252.
The torque is not needed for a 50 ship but the speed is.

Thanks, It would be nice to run all the same servos including the tail one.
