Futaba 9C Super Series Q

Currently I have a 7C and I’ve been looking at the 9C super series. I noticed that these two models have a different face plate, but in the specs both are PCM or PPM switchable and basically have the same functions. What I am missing?

One comes with a PCM recivever (9chps) and the other with a PPM when they ship with a reciever. The other difference is the chp defaults to PCM modulation when you program up a new model just like the H defaults to a helicopter program and the A defaults to ACRO (airplane)
