Hey guys just thought i would pass this along...
2 weeks ago my tail case came off while performing a really fast hurricane :shock: not good...
i know that KDE and now Align has a metal piece to replace the plastic tail pin that holds the case in place, but since we pin the boom might as well pin the tail case. A friend of mine come to find out has had his pinned since the start didn't know... and i know that there are ton of 700s flying no problem with the plastic pin but if you have that you might want to consider the following
3mm tap and 3mm screw in tail case into the boom. Tapping it where the pictures show allows for a good piece of aluminim for the screw to bite into, now you will probably need to dremel the screw a little i did to avoid any interference, mine is about 3mm but
no more than 3.5, 4m is to long.
The quick pics with the iphone and they are not the best but work well enough to get the point across...
Again there are plenty of 700s flying stock setup and probably just either one of
the new metal pieces would be enough but you just never know...:)
