My 550 have now had about 2 hours of effective hang time. Other than a little slop in the tiny tail pitch lever bearings, radial main grip bearings, frayed red dampers trying to squeeze them selves out of the grips and a chipped maingear, it has been an awesome experience! :YeaBaby: Oh, and during the last pack that clocked it in to hour 2, the motor shaft snapped. :wow2: My first forced auto from 35 feet and it landed as if the earth was a gigantic soft pillow. I wonder where that came from, the broken shaft on the 1390? Some time ago, when I rechecked the mesh, I noticed that the preassembled shaft support bearing had come loose. I used some green loctite and pushed it back. Now, after the break, it is in it's correct position, so it can't be that the shaft did not get enough support. Maybe it got weakned that time when the bearing came loose, and today was just its due date.

I am up to 32 hours of stick time on my 550's this season... 310 flights at 6 ins each... and I have to say.. still am impressed. You would be amazed to see how little I've progressed in those 32 hours!!... but still having a blast! It ain't the helis fault believe me. These things are powerhouses that track like a bullet train.
I've had zero issues of any kind yet... besides my two crashes. As maintenance free as any heli can get. Very glad I decided to go Outrage.

Black dampers is now on its way.
It's easy to make 32h if you have one million packs and a charging contraption that could supply entire Sweden with power.
