hi all, im very new to helis and ive bought my first.
i have a dragonfly 22E, i got some good links and help from a member here, crashtested, tu m8.
he pointed me towards the fms which i downloaded for free,
my problem is i cant get my computer to see my radio.
i got a cable with my heli, and plugged it in, im running windows XP.
i tried swapping com ports and every thing else i can find to play with, but my computer wont see my dang radio, i can use my key board to move the sim heli around.
any ideas ?

The USB cable is the only way to go with the FMS sim in my opinion. Are you trying to use the serial port?

Lots of people have lots of problems getting the serial interface to work. I bought a TX to USB cable (plugs directly into the USB port), and have had no trouble. For FMS that's definitely the way I'd recommend.
I hate to recommend HeliHobby, but here's where I got mine:

Mile High Wings is a good place to get the controller to USB cable you may wish to try.

Good call. I had no trouble with HeliHobby, but I've read plenty of bad accounts that I hate to send someone there.

If you are using a laptop the odds are the serial cable won't work. Many laptops don't seem to have the right drivers for game control via the serial ports.
USB cables are best (I also recommend milehighwings.com) but since you are likely to grow out of your W22e the cable you get for that Tx won't be useful with a better radio down the track. So instead for about the same money you can get an ESky USB controller from Ebay. This controller will work with FMS and ClearView (which at $30 is fantastic value and a good next step from FMS if you cannot afford a top end sim like Phoenix, Reflex/XTR or G3).

I found a way for fms to work with walkeras 60b radio, (wk-0771)
First i made a cable from yc(video cable to jack(microphone).
I downloaded smartpropo plus, and placed it in the fms folder.
I inserted the jack into mic in or line in, and it is working fine.
Its free , not too much trouble!!!!
Dip switches behind the radio 1-2-3 ON Everything else: OFF
