I hate to rub it in, but our summer down-under starts next month. Even our winters are better than your Alaskan summers. I know, since I worked ~ 5 years in Northern Canada (Yukon and NWT). Never again!

My main project this summer will to get the belt drive on my Ion to unleash the power of the neu 1521, without all that white gear dust. Then maybe look at a cc hv110/12s setup.

Cheers,

Tom C

Sounds good to me as well. Love to get the HS down to around 1900 in GOV mode for the ultimate in cinsistent flights. :)

Dane,

What is it you want Karen to do. We buy these from Miniature. Miniature told us they were out of stock and she forwarded Miniature's email saying that. I don't understand why you are pissed of at Karen. She trys hard, and if she could, she would get you one. We don't make this stuff you know. It'll be two more weeks before Miniature has the 100 tooth main gears to complete these kits. If you want to ***** at someone, ***** at Miniature, not Karen.

" Miniature told us they were out of stock and she forwarded Miniature's email saying that."

Dude, if MA sent Ron and crew word that the Actro Kit is on BO then what are they supposed to do?? As far as MA stuff I have not found anyplace that had a bigger stock of parts than Rick's does and both Karen and Nathan are two of the best at checking on what is available and what is not and have always let me know ASAP if something was out at the moment and usually if possible had an idea for a substitution that would work in it's place..

Best I can tell, if your attitude with ordering stuff is anything like it is here in this thread I would imagine that most suppliers would just as soon you keep your business in Australia with your local hero...

Ya , well said Tony! Everyone needs to let off a little steam once in a while. I respect that.

I've met Mr 3D at a few flyins down-under and he is a great guy, very helpful and informative, and a great, and very agressive 3D flyer. I've seen him spank a lot of heli's into submission, everything from Shoguns/zaps to Trex600's, to Raptor 90's. I can hardly wait to see him spank an Ion-x around. It's going to be great.

Back to the topic, and let's all have some more fun!

Cheers,

Tom C

You can spellcheck from the reply function (not the quick reply box at the bottom) or if you have Firefox, it will spellcheck as you type.

Just as a side note, sometimes manufacturers slot certain builds to go to certain places. For example, the first 50 runs may be slotted for Europe, the second 50 runs for Australia and the final 50 for the USA. They may be "out of stock" on this run for the USA parts since they are currently working on overseas production units. This may or may not be the case in this situation, just wanted people to be aware that some companies perform business this way. It's a logistical function based off supply and demand.

You're right Clay. The first mode 1 Spetrum heli version DX7's went down-under, even before anyone elses. Too bad I fly mode 2! Have ordered a mode 2 heli version from the US (Espirit Models) and am still waiting in the Q.

Cheers,

Hello Dane....

This is Karen from Rick's. I want to set the story straight. I do not appreciate the fact that you called me a liar, especially when i have been trying my best to get the part MA124-110 from MA for you. I have called and emailed Cyndi@MA a dozen times since you have placed the order trying to get an ETA on this part. Everytime she has stated that the 100 tooth main gear is not available at this time to complete the set. If you dont belive me....ask her.

From my understanding per Cyndi, Australia has a MA distributor (Rotamotion). they gets their parts from the MA in the US.
if the Australian distributor ordered the MA124-110 before MA in the states ran out of the 100 tooth main gear, they would have the gear. we ordered the MA124-110 after MA ran out of the gear. we do not have the MA124-110 or the MA0865-100. we can not get them right now. they are on back order.

i respect and admire this hobby.i love my job. i work really hard to get an order correct and complete in order to keep our customers happy. I did do my job when it came to your order.

Karen, I have ordered from you guys as well and never had a problem - I also own my business and have been watching this thread - the truth is - sometimes no matter how hard you try - you can never make every customer happy. Some clients expectations are realistic, while others are not. In addition, to speak on behalf of this gents frustration - sometimes when we are upset about a particular situation, we all sometimes say things out of anger - and don't see the issue with clarity - especially when it comes to getting our Helis. back in the air. This hobby is an addiction, so when we can't get parts - we freak. But you guys have a great rep. and would order from you again.
This stuff always happens in business,
Happy Holidays,
Jeff

Look, he still has not got his 100t gear, just the motor mounts, which you could have at least supplied. The real problem right now seems to be with MA supplying some parts, in general. This can make everyone down the chain look bad and customers mad.

Cheers,

Tom C

Then the problem is with him, not with Miniature, not with Ricks. It most definitely is not with Karen.

Bottom line, if the supplier doesn't have the parts, ask MA why. They have contact information, call them. I don't know why Miniature wasn't called directly if the supplier couldn't get it.

I hate to use Will's expression, but "Keep it real". Posting something like this is

is uncalled for. Frankly, it ticks me off that you would come on here and spout off this crap. Miniature Aircraft can be reached directly through using their website, in case you don't have the address, it's http://www.miniatureaircraftusa.com. Why don't you call them and ask them for a part if you feel that Ricks can't get it for you? I don't see anywhere in your posts where you even called MA. If you did call MA, why didn't you just order it from them directly? I, as have many others, have found Ricks and Miniature Aircraft more than helpful in answering questions and in supplying parts.

Your posts reflect poorly on your character and on your ability to problem solve. At the very least, you owe Karen a public apology. If you were just frustrated, take a look in the mirror sir, because your problem starts with you. Karen, nor Ron need to come on here and defend their responses to you because you failed to problem solve properly :bomb: :bomb:

this has gone on far enough in my opinion.
I have purchased from Ron on several occasions and for an item to be out-of-stock is rare, but they can only place their order, not create the parts out of thin air.
We promote respect here, and frankly your comments directed at/about Karen is unacceptable. I feel you owe Karen a public apology, and insist you do so immediately.
As far as I'm concerned, deactivating your account would be no big loss, all 8 posts have amounted to exactly nothing. As stated above, this behaviour will not be tolerated here.
