My tail will blow out in FBF with a 401/9254
what is the optimum length for the tail blades for flying back wards on a fury extreme?
and what make of blade to length

Most people seem to run 105mm tail blades. I run MAH, but there are plenty of good choices.

Most guys also run 601's it seems like.

I'm using NHP 105s with my 401/9254 and it holds really well. I'm also using the 15T pinion to speed up the tail, which also contributes to my holding power.

Thanks guys I bought the heli used with blades and looks like they are 97mm from hole to tip. So that's my main problem, I will switch to 105 right away.
The speed up gear is the next step after the blades, I'm a little unsure of the instillation (shimming) to get the mesh right.
Thanks again

I use to have a blowout problem but found that it was in the way I had set up the 401,,,,,, I switched to a 601 thinking that would fix it and it didnt... Just go by the instructions to a T and it will not blowout even with the 97mm blades....Adjust the rudder in rate mode and it should cure it... :D

105 v tails work as well...but as suggested it might be the way you have the 401 setup.

I have the gyro adjusted in rate mode and fly in HH the tail doesn't drift in rate mode even with a low gain, so the set up should be spot on ?
The tail blows out when I go to turn or fly off centre backwards for a while, it really bugs me. So first the tail blades then gyro hope that fixes everything.
