Hey,
Yes it is, basically it is a Trex size heli with a more traditional main and tail rotor setup rather than contra-rotating main blades. This heli while in theory more difficult to hover than your Medivac will outfly it in all aspects once you have got used to it.
I am awaiting the spare cash to get one myself as it is the ideal size to be flown outdoors and indoors with enough room.
I have flown a few Trex now and this size of model is awesome to have in your collection. The mini Preds price is the attractive part and all-ready-to-go as well.

Hey Rodney,
Some information can be found here :
http://www.centuryuk.com/Products/Helicopters/Electric+Helicopters/Century+UK+Mini+Pred/item8694?startPos=
Looks good I feel and the price includes everything needed ready to go, inc. Tx.
Once I have paid all my newly brought house bills etc. I am going to scrap the pennies together to grab one.

Hi all,
This is what I posted on RCUniverse last week or so.
The Century Mini Pred (being sold in the UK only, I think) is the same helicopter as the Falcon 3D but with (I quote from an email from a Century UK guy) "a fair amount of tweaking and redesigning to make it fly better". Apparently Century UK thought that the Falcon 3D was "not good enough to be sold in the UK" (their words, not mine!) and so they "spent over a year working with Art Tech to make the model good." I asked them to be more specific about the changes and they said there were too many to list but did mention "changes to boom length and tail blade length" and "lots of changes to the head".
Here in the UK the Falcon 3D isn't being imported "officially" although some shops do have them. Century UK implied question marks over the warranty that would be offered with these imported ones, since Century UK are the only licensed importer of Art Tech products. So if you want a Falcon and you live in the UK, you may (I repeat, may) be better off going for the Mini Pred.
Another thing I've noted is that spares for the Mini Pred are much cheaper (mostly less than 50% cheaper) than the equivalent Falcon 3D spares, which is odd. A significant attraction! For example, Sussex Model Centre quote £16.99 for a pair of Falcon blades whereas Centuryuk.com has the Mini Pred blades at only £9.99/pair.
I don't know what electronics are included with the Mini Pred - the package is the same (brushless motor, lipoly battery, simulator and pc connection cord and so on) so I guess the actual components would be the same as on the Falcon.
The Falcon 3D (on which the Mini Pred is based) gets good reviews generally, but I'm not sure what changes Century UK have made. I'd be reluctant to buy one until they state exactly what they've done to the Falcon to "improve" it.
Having said that I am seriously thinking of buying one in the next few months. Worth noting is that the Mini Pred is nothing to do with Century Helicopters (the US company) - which I guess is why they called in the Mini Pred rather than the Mini Predator - perhaps Predator is a trademark of Century Helicopters?
Anyway it seems a pretty good deal.
Peter
