I need a new charger, anyone know about this Xtre,a by TME? How does it compare to the 1010C? I really don't need the watt meter, but the A123 setting looks promising. Any thoughts?

I have one and it works fine. You can set the per cell charge voltage to whatever you want, which is good for using it with a123 packs, but like the TP1010C, you are limited to a 5.5A max charge rate for a 10-cell pack. I use it for 4s, 5s and 6s packs, which don't have close LiPo equivalents. For 10-cell packs pretty much any LiPo charger that has a 9s LiPo setting will work fine. I have a Schulze 636 that will charge a 10-cell a123 pack at an 8A rate. The only charger I know of that will do a full 10A is the uber-pricey isl8-936.

so which charger would you prefer, the Xtrema or 1010C?

For a123-M1s, I guess I would go with the Extrema, but the TP-1010C is supposed to get a software update next month. The Extrema has a Wattsmeter function that I personally don't use, which drives the cost higher.
