View Full Version : Um, yea so where can I get parts?
hey guys, I need a new set of collets for mounting the fan hub on the engine (I've given up on the ones I have), but ummm.... no one has them. At least no one with an online store anyway. Ricks shows them as being out of stock and none of the other distributors (tammies, zooms, etc) show them at all. Thoughts???

Above is another alternative that you can consider. I have read of several N9 owners that have used them.

I've got to order some other parts for the N9 from ricks, so I think I'll add those collets to that order and give them a try. I'll still get up with the guys at Synergy to get the originals too though. Thanks so much for the help guys!

When you get done messing with it, send it to me and I'll fix it.

It may cause me to beat my brains out, but as the saying goes, "give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime".
I've gotta do what I can to figure all this stuff out so one day I can offer to fix someone's jacked up engine! :D

SYN- HEY LEE, just give it to TMoore and let him "fix" it. Not! c-ya Ron
Hey David, those collets you linked to at Rick's worked perfectly. The fan hub is now indicating a runout of .001 and the clutch is showing .002!!! That is faaaaar better than I was expecting to get.

Glad they worked for you. I had read several reports from Synergy N9 owners that used those collets and they achieved the same results as you.
