Does a sim exist without all the whistles and bells? I'm looking for a sim of just the T-Rex 450. I can build any cable or electronic interface from schematic if needed.
I just don't see spending mad cash to get features that will tend to distract me and dilute my available Heli cash.
Thanks in advance.

I would say that if you want a good sim you should consider it as part of your heli cash and a good part of it (especially because you spend only once).
If you want a freebie there is FMS on the web but very simple and I'm not sure how useful (you might end up increasing the need for "heli cash" if you skim on your sim)
Just my $0,02.

Fernando hit the nail on the head: my $200 sim has saved me thousands in avoided repair costs. It just does not pay to skimp on any part of your helicopter learning tools or you're actual helicopter setup. Buy cheap and you'll end up buying over and over. Just save up and get the good stuff from the get go or sell other toys you don't use to fund the project. Definitely do not think this hobby will ever be cheap...
It's addictive. Addictions are expensive :)

hehe..ty guys..my lovely bride surprised me with the real flight G3.5. I'm doing surprisingly well. Side in hovers are kicking my tail in orientation training. I'll get there... takes time.

Sweet, I really like the new orientation training feature as well. I'm on about level 18 now. You think you can hover it *until* you have to keep the heli in ONE SPOT and not move it. Harder than it seems right?
good luck :)
