I currently fly with a Spektrum DX6i (MSR, Gaui 200, etc). I was looking for a lightweight (< 100g) traditional 90-deg head FP... apparently that means Walkera. So I just ordered a 4#6S and a WK2801PRO TX.
Now I read the RX2433 is not compatible with the 2801 normal mode and must be bound in some lesser mode. What features will I lose? Will I still have expo? I can lose D/R and remote gyro as long as they are adjustable on the heli. Is it a waste of money to buy a 2801 just for one 4#6S?

out of the box with the heli it will be in 2401 mode and you will have basic inputs,(rudd, aile, pitch, yaw)you can make hot keys on TX in 2801 mode. then you switch back to 2401 to bind and then all you have to do is just flip a switch and you have some extra features
Tons of function that you can't use when you set your TX2801 to 2401 mode (to bind with RX24xx). You can have DR&EXPO, Throttle Curve via hot key, but you CAN NOT do program mix, Throttle Hold.
