Hi Jeanette,
I should be at a flight test in Ridgecrest, CA in that time frame. I hoping to get the chance to drive down to Vegas for part of that weekend.
I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed that it works out!! I'll keep you posted.
Cheers,
Leslie

Whoa - wouldn't that be fun - the city that doesn't sleep and flying heli's - what a combo!!!
It would either be a very long drive - when we go to a fun fly we have the truck cap full of stuff - or a very expensive shipping/cargo bill!!!!
:WOW

Well...2007.74 miles would be a long drive (29.5 hours according to MapQuest).
Hmmm...I would definitely consider those cheap hops to Vegas!!!
Come on kj....we need more girls there flying!!!!!!!
TJ, talk some sense into your wife!

Update:
Well, I don't know if I'm going after all. My husband just emailed me from work and he has been selected to attend the Management Level Review...it's a board for those competing for the rank of Colonel in the AF for 2007. He has to be there from the 8th to the 23rd of February.
SO, my "portable home" driver will be gone. And I don't know if I want to even attempt to drive that far pulling the travel trailer with 2 kids alone.
What lousy timing! :arggg: :arggg: Typical.

doh!!
that's both great but bad timing :)
If it softens the blow, it looks like my flight test has pushed to the end of February, so I will not get to attend either..... dang
Cheers,
Leslie

Bummer Leslie! You would have enjoyed watching this event from what I hear.
Well, today has been a great day so far and I may have other plans for February that just came about because of today's events.

Ok, well I don't feel so bad now. I was bumming - hubby mechanic kept trying to talk me into the trip and I just kept thinking of what fun it would be with you gals.
But hey, there are a lot of fun flys - we'll meet up at another one.

Okay, I lied...I'm going. I just won't have the luxury of having my camper there to throw the kids down for naps. We'll see how this goes. :dontknow
I'll be staying at Nellis AFB just 20 minutes down the road. Any ladies going to book a flight???

I'm waiting to get them from a friend who took a lot of pictures with his camera. I literally had my hands full with towing a camper by myself, hauling two kids around, and working on my own helis to fly. I brought all my camera equipment and never grabbed one to walk around with. When I sat down to watch a pro flight, I just sat down and enjoyed watching it! Those guys are amazing!

Next year you should really try and line up one of your "official business" trips. A day out there to watch some Saturday flying would be WELL worth it!
