Like ive said somewhere on here before, ive grown up with FUTABA, but JR is good, really smooth, but the 12/14MZ takes the cake for smoothness!
Im not biased to one product, I just like the bling factor of 12/14MZ

Greg, Ray... Thanks for the feed back. Since your's were the first to go out, I'm glad to hear they were what you expected. Any tips? Did you get them on without too much trouble?
As I mentioned, I've been traveling the last few days but I'm home now for a day or two. To those that have ordered since Wednesday, I'll put 'em in the mail tomorrow.

If you are happy with these please help spread the word. For the time being I've only post them here on HeliFreak. Hopefully folks will find this thread.
I think most know what will happen if I post a reply to the below thread pointing folks to HeliFreak :D  :arggg:

Funny you should ask. I just got back from the post office. 1st class airmail to Norway was .84c USD. Since I have to go to the post office to mail these, why don't we say 13.95 + 1.00 s&h for international orders? Fair enough?

Howdy Folks,
For those waiting for the 12 Screen protectors... I need some input. Felix was kind enough to post the dimensions of the 12 screen not including the buttons. We could do that very quickly but we hope to offer something closer to the 9C screen protector we are about to finish. An undimensioned sketch is shown below. The completed CAD drawings Chuck makes for these are beautiful and the picture below doesn't do justice to the work he puts in on these. We send a DXF file out to have dies made to withing .001 of the drawings we send. To make protector for a complete 12MZ screen will take more time. It may require me buying one!
This may all be achedemic... Is the 12MZ screen flat (like the 9Z, 9C, 14MZ)? The material we use will NOT follow a curve.

I would like to get one for my 14 but I have a couple questions first
1. Is there an actual adhesive on the material.
2. If so how will it react to UV I live in florida with the harsh sun
Thanks

Charley,
1. Is there an actual adhesive on the material.
I wouldn't say there is an adhesive like you find on cellophane or masking tape. It has what is called a Self Wetting Adhesive (SWA). A feature of this adhesive is its ability to virtually apply itself to smooth surface with little or no pressure.
2. If so how will it react to UV I live in florida with the harsh sun
The sun has no effect on this material. With that said, I wouldn't get in the business of leaving your ($2,200.00) transmitter on your car dash! It came with a case for a reason.:D I have a piece of this material stuck to some lexan sitting on the dashboard of my family car. I intend on leaving it there for some time.
I should add that right now, we are sending out protectors with a scrap of this material we have left over from production. You can use this scrap for whatever testing you see fit.

Any chance you can make one for the JR9303?
I couldn't find any screen protector this big of a size for the 9303. Thinking of using the laminating sheet but hesitate since I have no idea if it will come off.
Thanks,
TC

Bill...no mine went on quite well and the only problem was operator error...had to pull it off a couple of times as I didn't have it lined up correctly...I would suggest holding it with tweezers or someting like that as the corner I held it with ended up with a finger print that now wont stay down...but it is only in the bottom left hand corner of the screen and is only about 1/8" by 1/2" area...no biggy to me...
I don't really see any less sensitivity of the touch screen...
I did make Wolfdad cringe when he saw me using my finger nails to make adjustments! hehe :D I then reached into my case and gave him my second sheet to put on his 14MZ!
Thanks again...seems like a great product so far...some day I will order another set to replace my finger print!

It's a frustration to me that we can't make Screen Protectors quicker for screens I know folks want. Someone from "the other sight" PM me with the same question. The short answer is that, no, we don't make one specifically for the JR 9303 (yet :? ). Like the 12MZ, it's simply a matter of getting our hands on one long enough to model in CAD and then send out for dies. Pretty simple really.
As part of the other conversation with the other individual he asked the same question. Specifically, do we sell a screen protector large enough to cover the 9303 screen that might be cut to fix? I'm told the 9303 screen is 49.82mm x 123.55mm. Since the 14MZ screen protectors are roughly 55mm x 150mm, they should be large enough. Cutting the material is easy enough. A straight edge and single edge razor works well. The corners are a little tougher. A steady hand and some scissors works pretty well. The 9303 is a good choice for this since it doesn't look like it has any buttons protruding through the screen like the 12MZ, 9C or many of the other JR radios.
