In the menual it say,
"Measure 22mm from each end of the flybar and wrap the flybar with tape."
I believe that only work on the Stratus stock paddles right ?
What about V paddles, is it safe to do it the same way ? ( screw the Vpaddle 22mm in only )
I am just sacred that my V paddles might just fly out at 2000rpm :arggg:

Screw the V Paddles onto the flybar until you see solid flybar through the screw hole. Then secure the paddle to the flybar with the setscrews.

As soon as you see threads put the set screws in it? I would go another turn or 3. I usually screw on the V-Paddles until they bottom out and then either back them off to get them level or if I can tighten it a tad to get it perfect I do that. Bobby with your method id be afraid the paddles would come loose....

anyway guys the reason why i posted this is because
1. i just want to make sure how far must the paddle go in
2. if too deep in, will i lose my cyclic rate ? ( because the deeper you go, the flybar get 'shorter' )
Yap that should be all

The shorter the flybar the quicker it is off center, the longer the softer around center but faster it rolls. I either misunderstood bobby or he was thinking something else when he typed his reply. I would reccomend you use my method.... but its up to you.

I have been doing it the same way for 2 years now without one single issue. As long as you can see solid flybar through the hole- you are fine.

Kenny,
Bobby Watts method will work great. If you have seen Bobby fly, the paddles would definitely depart his model if they were not installed correctly. Bobby puts more flights on a model in a week that most people put on one all year.

Bobby I wasnt calling your method wrong as I know your paddles would come off if they were going to, your doing it right obviously. In my mind as soon as you saw the threads in the hole and DIDNT go a turn or two more you would be right on the end of the flybar and possibly not get a good bite on the flybar with the setscrew. Thats all I was concerned about.
I think the instructions say how far to screw it on. If all else fails read the directions...
