Training stages using RADD.
1. Learn Hover, Tail-In, Tail-Out, Side-In, Otherside_In (all RADD method)
2. Set up a course to fly where you perform specific tasks at each station.

This does 2 things:
1. It gives you a specific goal for flying.
2. It gives you feedback and focus for where your weaknesses may exist.

Any experienced folks want to help design the stations? Design where total flighttime is <10 mins and each station tests a specific fundamental skill that new pilots must know/master before progressing.
I'm thinking 8 stations:
1. Fly over something
2. Fly under something
3. Fly in something (like an open box on it's side? (both ends open)
4. Pir left around an object nose in
5. Pir right round an object nose in
6. Pir left around an object tail - in
7. Pir right around an object tail- in
8. land on an elevated box 1' x 1'

thoughts? suggestions? other? hehe.. the end goal is to have something that builds confidence and skill with specific objectives in mind.

please be nice. Keep in mind I'm new...

The "fly under something" might be entertaining.

You are on the right track, you should always train with an objective in mind, that applies to sim time too.

Is there for training purposes or for an event at a fly?

Training purpose, I'd say take a look at PPP (Pilot Proficiency Program).

It's specifically to give new pilots a purpose rather than just slicing air aimlessly. Without a specific target to shoot at you are assured to miss.

To me it's all about learning and getting feedback. When you are self training it's harder to get feedback that helps and it's easy to become distracted.
