View Full Version : Help! Difference in cyclic pitch on 700n 3G (?)

Hi.

I set up the 700 with 13 degrees pitch on cyclic today. I noticed that I only get 13 degrees one way and 11 degrees the other, on both aileron and elevator. There was one degree difference in pos./neg. pitch on the collective as well, but I managed to fix this by adjusting the control rod from the swash up to the blade holders.

It's 3G fbl on the heli. Servos is align 610 and all the servo horn is 90 degrees on the servo, with no sub-trim and endpoints. The radio is a Futaba 12FG 2.4 with 14 channel receiver. Pitch curve is linear from -100 to +100. There is no binding in the head.

Anybody have an idea of where the problem may lie? Thanks in advance for any help. :)

When it was set with 13 and 11 was your pitch at zero at mid stick?

If you fixed the collective pitch asymmetry by changing the length of the links from the swash to the grips, then you have changed your mid-stick pitch value...presumably from +/-1 degree to zero at mid-stick.

At mid-stick, do you measure zero degrees of pitch now?

Did you have zero degrees of pitch before you made the link change?

Have you leveled your swashplate?

I'm pretty sure a fellow 700N 3G Freak by the name of Nem3 had a similar issue...I'll see if I can dig up his post. :)

The swashplate is level:)

When I adjust all the links to standard length, I have 2,5 degrees pos. pitch at midstick and the pos. collective pitch is 15 degrees and neg. is 11.

Thanks! That would be great:)

I made a new model in the transmitter, just to be sure. Same thing happens:(
Just to clarify, it's swashtype HR3 thats correct for this model, right?

Will it work to set an endpoint to get the angles to be equal? Or will the 3G unit have some problems with that?

Something is not exactly symetrical in your setup, and it is causing this issue. Keep running through the setup and checking all your links from the servos to the blades.
