... such as Deans or similar ? I am wondering if I should buy one, because a bit tired of the cable hanging around, but I am afraid those antennas reduce distance or create interference or ... whatever. Thanks !

According to other posts Ive read those type of anttenas do reduce distance, but its nothig that you would really notice.. Go for it if its something you really want.
I personally would not use them on a 90,
but on the Lepton, if you got out of range on a base loaded antenna
I would guess that the Lepton would be far enough away to not be able
to orientate it - too small

I use them on most all my models. Technically, you do lose about 10% range with a base loaded antenna which means you only get 1.8 mile range instead of 2 mile. :)

I run a Dean's on my Lepton with no problems at all.
