I am about to start with the old Airwolf thing someone give me, its an AMT model that was designed around Graupner mechanics, I plan on dropping in the spare SE airframe I have, and will need a custom boom and torque tube, if I call Tim at Min-Air do you think he will be able to fix me up with what I need?

The boom needs to be 2¼ inches longer than the longest boom they have.

I believe they still have some 36 inch boom material at the shop. If they still have the 2 ply carbon boom that would be the one you would want.

If they don't have the material. I would just splice the boom to the length needed.
As for the torque tube, since it will be a scaler. I would just go back to the arrow shaft torque tube. That way you can make it any length needed. I still have support bearings and holders for the old style torque tube.

Tim or Chris at MA can answer your questions.

Hey thanks David, I forgot all about the arrow tube, I have stuff to make up a torque tube with that, I'll give Tim a call and ask about the 36" boom, I don't think the strenth of the boom will be an issue since it will be held in place by wood headers.
