I have just received my first heli, a honey bee cp2, I have been reading up on heli's for about 2 months now and am pretty confident I know what I've gotten into, and how to set it up, however the instructions are complete crap (I was warned about this) and I've realized that I don't even know what half the buttons do and how to use them... OK so I understand the sticks, and the servo revers is pretty self explanatory (but I'm not sure what to do with this) if someone could direct me to some documentation, I would appreciate it, also the tail motor really screams when it's past about 1/4 power, its loud and I'm not sure if this is normal. I did buy a bare bones kit, so I do have an extra tail motor to test, but I thought I'd ask before I start swapping out parts, besides I have a twin motor mount coming soon and I'd like to know if I have to order a new motor, or if this is normal.

thanks

HI kfc,

I used to have a cp2 as well. The transmitter should be set up right, so you should not need to worry about the servo reversing. The left metal pin sticking out is the "trainer" switch, in case you hook another radio to it, if you flip that switch the second radio (with instructor) can take over. the right metal pin sticking out is the "idle up" this should be set as well. just be sure before starting up (connecting batt at heli) to flip that switch away from you (non-idle up).

The rattling sound could be the tail rotor, if i remember correctly it is held in place with a small rubber ring, if it comes loose (slacks off) the tail rotor is not "snug" to the motor and it starts to rattle.

hope it helps.

have fun!

thanks Daan,

so now I know what all my buttons do, and I figured out what the noise from the tail was, its exactly what you said.
