i'm using hyperion VX series 4200's and they fit with heaps of room to spare.
Pack weight is just over 680g and if i slide it right up near the motor, the heli is slightly tail heavy. Down about 15mm and spot on.
Hope that helps

Align 4600 is too long for the X5.

My experience is that the max length a lipo should be on this heli is 150mm...

Sup Vas!!!
Yup all done and dusted bud!
Was an awesome wedding, dare I say the best day of my life. :) Went really quick, honeymoon went by in even quicker! TBH was really looking forward to getting home to build the X5, its almost there dude, just gotta fit the horns, get everything 90 and work out my electronics layout. Like everyone else that has built this Heli, it is a real treat to build and I am enjoying every minute of it.
I have found that my tail pitch slider is binding when on full throw towards the tail blades only, it looks like the ball link that connects to the lever is at fault. Shall I sand down the lever a little?
Cheers

G, tops to hear all went well. Does all go super quick.
Congrats to you and now Wifey(ie Boss) :)
With regards to the tail slider. Mine had some binding on the shaft that i gave a quick sand to, but same as yours, the ball on the lever at full deflection towards the blades is there. I just kept working it and oil and working it. Is heaps better but tot perfect. I now set my gyro limits to just before the tight spot. Only about 2mm from the end of travel.
Also you'll notice the rudder control rod will deflect a bit and bind on the guide(boom support one) at the same extreme travel. I used a teflon spray lube .
The Hurri tail had two positions for the tail hub.One about 2-3 mm further in and that would give the geometry an easier time. Can't recall if the X5 tail shaft has both

Yeah, the X5 also has two sets of dimples in the tailrotor shaft; I think the manual shows using the ones furthest from the boom, so that's what I did.

Thanks again Vas!
I had the same issue with the copper slide that fits on the shaft. On mine I found that burring the opening on either side of the copper cylinder solved the problem.
Yeah, I think I will use the set of grub screw recess holes which are closest to the boom, these give almost no binding on the tail pitch slider at maximum throw.
Thanks for the heads up on the boom supports too bud.
Apart from these few minor issues the build has gone extremely well.
Just still trying to decide whether to use braid on my servo wires or not.
