MD500 Defender

Well on my way with it. Maiden flight for the mech.s tonight. If all's well then were on to the body. Getting more pics all the time. Going to have to repaint it though, I'm copying one of the 160th Night Stalkers "Little Bird" and there all Flat Black birds. I've got to get in touch with BigD about the Curtek lights(those things are sweet). and start on the seats and insturment panels. Should be a sweet bird..

I haven't had time to take the pics of Gene's Little Bird and post them - it isn't the same heli so it probably wouldn't help with the paint scheme anyway. I saw the Defender at IRCHA and all I can say is WOW!!! It drew alot of attention - the fuse appeared to be well made and it really looked cool in flight! I hope someone got it on video. Keep us posted with pics of you bird.

I will be at blacksheep for sure!!! Now whether the Little Bird will be ready or not I cant say. Would really like the make this one a show stopper. So I'm taking my time and doing it right. Trying to get a scale seats and instrument panel in and around the raptor servo tray's is going to be a job.. But trust me Im going to give it my best.. :lol:
Robert Im still working on the wife about getting up to your FF in VB. I think Im wearing her down :lol: :lol: :lol:

YAAAAAAHHHHHHOOOOOOO......... Maiden flight was flawless. three tanks of fuel and I had to make a single trim click on the ELEV. and my step is set @ 1. Tracked PERFECT, This thing is going to be sweet. Be ordering the lights today from BigD, start on the seat's tonight. :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Up date on the 500 build. :D Finaly got them done... Its took a week or so with a little done here and there but I finaly finished the rivits on the body. Got the mech's up on the skids and ready to install.
