Here are some pics of my transmission off of my Bergen Turbine.

I would hear a "ping" and/or a "clack" every now and then at idle during the last two flights.

Here is what I found; when the exhaust was replaced from first crash this summer NONE of the internal bolts had the metal locking tabs used. All of the bolts loosened up and backed out.

I am in the process of getting new bolts and re-assembling this correctly.

Just FYI if you can slightly twist your exhaust up and down your bolts may be loose, something to consider if your exhaust was ever replaced.

I want to make this very clear I am in no way un-happy with wren or there products, as Sara has helped me in every way possible, too bad other mfr's don't take a few lessons from wren's customer service!

Hey Chris, Bergen has been great to deal with also, the above comment wasn’t directed at you --- just the vast majority of others!

I should be up and running in a day or two - I just have to get motivated to put it back together again!

As stated above this is just FYI info to check your machines if the exhaust develops some slight play. It is much better to find out on your own that at the field in front of all of the nay sayers.

Those locking tab washers are in there for a reason! We discovered when running the prototype engines that these six bolts could work loose and initially we drilled the heads of the bolts and wired them, but that was a long, fiddly business. So Mike designed the lock washers and we had several hundred of them laser cut. I'm sending some to Chris Bergen tomorrow - and a set to Don - and if anyone is working on that section of the heli, please contact me or Chris and get the correct tab washers and hex bolts.

I'm Happy to report that the Heli is back up and running. I was only able to do a few run-up's but the transmission appears to be working correctly!

Any way thanks Sara for the parts.
