Greetings all!
I'm having a strange issue with my Venture 30 that I'm hoping someone else has seen before.
I have always flown with the standard wood blades on my JR Venture 30 and haven't had any of the "usual" tracking issues I've read about.
A friend gave me a used pair of 550mm Thunder Tiger carbon blades. For some reason, I can't get the carbons to track correctly for anything. One turn of the longer links to the mixing arms makes them track completely the other way (#1 tracking high, turn one link, then #2 tracks high)
I bought the Ergo grips and replaced the bearings, spacers and dampners just in case. Didn't help a bit.
The carbons are as balanced as can be for both weight and CG. (even used a small spray of clearcoat to get them dead on).
The funny thing is, if I put the woodies back on, they track great!
Is it possible that I just have a bad set of carbons? They were a used pair from a big batch of parts, but don't appear to be damaged..
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks!
