I've heard that you could upgrade a raptor 30 to a 50 and was wondering if that was true. I ask because i'm on a tight bugget, but if it really would be better to just get a 50 i would rather do that and spend less in the long run. oh ya, this is also going to my first heli so i'm open to other helis if anyone has some advice. thanks.

yes they sell the 30 to 50 conversion kit for somewhere around $100 or so. They also sell the Titan conversion for the 50, I'm in the same tight budget situation (college student) but am going to go straight for the 50.....the 50 has alot more advantages, more stable and has a better power/weight ratio. You can pick up a raptor Titan for $399 from heliproz. Ive been debating which way to go myself, they have a package for the raptor Titan 50 with OS 50 hyper engine, and CF blades for $639 http://www4.mailordercentral.com/heliproz/products.asp?dept=38

Similar combo deal for the 30 is less than $200 cheaper. Doesnt make much sense to me to go with the 30 if you can get a 50 (with all the upgrades the titan comes with), but its up to you..........last thing is...keep in mind, if you buy a 30 with converting it to a 50 in mind down the road, its will cost you $300+ for the upgrade ($100 or so for the conversion kit and $200 for the engine+ muffler). Im in the same boat as you right now, hope this helped some :D
