And here I though by all the commercials that a Mac does everything better than a PC

I have a Quad PPC based Mac (no running Windows for me) but was not willing to "build" a transmitter for it. If you do not mind that here:

I bought a $200 PC and G3.5... I am so ashamed  :bawl

It amazes me how people can become brand loyal to the point of not having an open mind about things...............one would think Apple was paying them thousands a year to promote their products................same thing with Chevy vs. Ford.............Miniature vs. Trex...............CRAZY STUFF :):)

If you have one of the "newer" Macs then they offer a free download called boot camp that allows you to dual boot both Mac OS and Windows OS. The G3.5 will run flawlessly on this setup if your Mac is up to the task :)

I have not heard of a free download from Microsoft allowing me to dual boot to a Mac OS ????? :Fan

No I have run Windows it came out in 1983 I was glad to be rid of it by the time WIN2000 came out. Mac is like Unix (my first love) with a nice GUI on it. Windows just requires to much of my attention (adware, spyware, registry BS) for me to enjoy it.

I use XP 8-10 hours at work everyday so it is not like I do not know it is a PITA! But yes it runs about every worthless program in the world. Plus the good ones.

PCs have multi boot built in and only require you to install the OSs on different partitions. What "boot camp" does is give you a hook to allow multi boot because the hardware doesn't support it nativly.

Both Macs and PCs have their place in the market, however, if you look very closely at macs over the past 15 years you'll notice they moved almost to actually BE a PC  . The differences hardware wise aren't as different as Apple would have us believe.

Anyway, if I was an artist or doing movie stuff IMHO Mac does a better job. For typical user stuff the PC is both cheaper to own and run.

If you need a transmitter interface, try http://www.milehighwings.com/. I use this interface with my JR transmitter on both Mac and PC.

Sadly, on the Mac side there is only RC Helicopter Simulator and XPlane, neither of which is very pretty. RC Heli Sim is decent for very basic practice. Adding a small amount of turbulence makes it a bit more realistic.

Right on Jermo.........................both have their place in the computer world. Being brand limited IMHO is the worst thing a person could ever get caught up in.

Just a for instance...................on my Trex I use a JR radio and RX with a Futaba gyro and tail srervo with 3 Hitec main frame servos :)

Use what works best for the particular task at hand.....................

No it is the OS. There is nothing different about the hardware anymore...

Ok, I've got a PowerPC Mac, not and Intel Mac. Any simulators for that. I've got G3.5 that I run on my dad's desktop, but the graphics on that computer are horible.

Buy a good/cheap video card. I ran G2 on a 300mhz PC with a $100 video card and it ran great! I put the same card in my new 1.2Ghz emachine and it runs G3.5 smooth as silk.
