For your heli's safety keep it away from cats. True story, this happened to my New raptor 30 with 9 flights on it.

oh crap. I was going to ask why you was flying near animals, but guess it was minding its own business and the cat found it as a toy. that sucks.

Time to make a harness and take Mr. Kitty for a helicopter ride, since he likes heli's so much. J/K, I have the same worries w/our cat. ;)

Yep, now I have to cover it up with a blanket when I'm done flying. I have to now fix the servo wire by cutting and soldering them back together. I am also going to try and fly the blades, had to rebalance them last night so we'll see what happens.

Oh yeah, the blades where brand new never had a flight on them!

My cat did the exact same thing. I left the heli unattended for about 20 mins and chomp.

I didn't notice for about a month until the wife said, "I think the cats are chewing on your helicopter"and due to the fact that I could not find time to fly in that month.

The blades are wood so luckily they are not as expense as carbons.

I wish I could spool up the heli, don't think the wife would like the smell of nitro fuel all through the house... hehehe

Our cats cool. Spends lots of time in my shop but never messes with any of my heli stuff. Now my daughters room, that's a different story. She chews on everything. :dontknow

I discovered that chow chows also nibble on servo wires, they also seem to enjoy the taste of manuals ...
a nibble from a 35kilo (around 80lbs) dog does a but more damage than a teensy cat :(

I have a really cool cat. She is mean as hell to everyone but me and my G.F. No one can even get close to her. My mom covers her legs with a blanket when she comes over. My sister says :FThat I aint petting her. LOL If you go to let her out and tell her to "move your ass if your going out " she sits there just waiting for your to say sometime., then she'll turn around and swat the crap out of you. and Hiss too. :YeaBaby: She was taken away from her mom to early. :dontknow Funny how she lays on my stomack and watches T.V and naps with me.

My 'Hobby Room' is off limits to my kittys... My adolescent 'kitten' (almost a year old and weighs more then my 8 year old cat) is a mischievous little bastard. He has this infatuation with hair ties and of all things 1s LiPos. He is sneaky too, he will sit there waiting for me to open the door and step out and he runs in. grabs one and bolts before I even know what he did... He doesn’t chew them though, for whatever reason he is gentle with them, as if he knows what will happen if he bites through. He hides them all over, buries them in the plants and somehow manages to get them under the rug. I took a few rubber bands and wrapped them in tin foil and CAed the plastic end of a wasted 1S LiPo to it and made it look just the same... he wouldn’t even touch it.

yep... keep your gear away from your pets.

My cat just chewed my MSr blades all to hell.. And I have never teased him with the heli either.. must of just been curious to see something that was once flying and now sitting still..
