Again there are a lot of votes for just one person one after the other, in fact their only post in the majority of cases. Of course, its going to be a vote for one of your countrymen most of the time. It still concerns me that someone is leading the speech! Only after one thing is mentioned do posts start appearing after the suggestion. I know one thing, when you join any sort of institution here you always have a probationary period to serve before having a say in any matters concerning that institution. I still think that the vote should be decided by registered members prior to any anouncement of the poll. I see very little registrations of anyone else who didn't vote for Pirahna on the same day!! So the reason to join was only to vote for one person of the same nationality. Nothing wrong in that of course, just the reasons behind it!! And IMO unfair. One more thing the reason I voted Garret 1# was IMO the quality of the image is the best of the entries, and it has humour. (my rule is quality not quantity) There was just too much going on with Pirahnas entry.

Aren't you worrying a bit too much?
In the end it is Bob that will pick his avatar. It was explained by Bob that the outcome of the poll would not necessarily be the winner.
On the other hand it is nice for Piranha to have many friends to support him, but PERSONALLY i would feel a bit uncomfortable if my friends would do this for me in this case.
The avatar that Piranha made has more then a good chance to win anyway because of its quality.

This is the key in my mind. I think it is great that we got a number of new members that hopfully will stay on and benefit/contribute to our forum.
Even before the influx of people, we had the same top two candidates anyhow. The way I see it, Bob can pick one of these two, or whichever other one he prefers.
I think the forum wins regardless, and Bob got some great avatars. Welcome everyone!
