OK.. on my 550 which got a new belt 20 flights ago (now tighter) I see hair on the edges... it that normal for a new belt?
Also.. the belt seems to touch the top of the pulleys.. and they ARE installed correctly. Whats up with that? Is that the capi mod I've heard something about.. shims? To raise the pulleys?

I use the white tail belt pulley.. and will raise the small silver pulleys with shims as I fix this one up.
BUT.. if fraying and little fuzzies all over the belt after 30 flights normal as it wears in? Or is mine TOO tight now?

has to be around 600 atm. same spindle, mainshaft too ! And the stupid boom i kicked into a chair and bented when i first built it.

I installed tiny shims.. now holds belt in the middle the pulleys. better.

another belt? Im building a 550- is the belt twist 90 degrees to the right looking from above and from the rear? It seems opposite from my 450 but I guess thats because one less gear.

90 degrees clockwise when looking up the boom from the rear of the heli.

Hello!
When I built my beast, I installed black BANDO belt. And it seems like Capi's belt.
I didn't deal with it. It's OK since then.
But after many flights the belt gets silvery, because the aluminium idler pulley's paint it.
And it seems the belt started to eat my idler pulleys a little.
