Tell us about the conversion.
I have a 4X8 foot CNC router if that helps!

Tom, thanks for the offer, but I will be using a HobbyParts conversion kit donor kit is on the way but it will be a few weeks to a month before I have the conversion kit. I will however post pics during the build. Craig B

Craig,
I have built and flown one of the Hobbyparts conversion kits with the Wren 54. If you would like more information, please drop me an email at wolfdad@comcast.net. Not a bad conversion project, however there are some things you should know before you jump in, the primary thing is the fact that, unless Phil has changed the conversion package and installed a clutch, you are going to be using the Benzine belt drive (different belt, of course) and the completed project will not be in compliance with the AMA rule that the blades must remain stationary at idle. You will also (and, I understand you are already aware of this) need a Benzine "donor" aircraft to complete the conversion or, if you know the Vario line well enough, you can buy the required additional parts....easier with a Benzine kit.

Hey Doc, how you been? I have allready ordered an Acrobatic kit, but I did have Joe exchange a few items for the Benzin version. I am aware of the clutch issue and the new conversion kits do have a clutch allthough I may have to modify them a little to get the correct engagement speed which I plan to do. I am saving up now for the conversion kit and HobbyParts transmission. I plan to use the metal main blade grips as well, can't wait to get it done I am going to sell my new Predator 90 Max Carbon to help finance the deal. Take care Craig B

Craig,
Please let me know how you make out. The basic conversion kit is a sound product and Phil is good to do business with and will make things right should you have any problems. Great to hear he did re-design with a clutch. I had a Benzine Trainer kit with the metal blade grips and the 25mm tail boom, so the conversion worked well for me. Also, I still have a couple of spare base plates if you want or need them. The Acrobat kit comes with the 12mm main rotor shaft and that is a big plus. Anything I can do to help, let me know.

It has been a long, sometimes rough year for us. Between the back surgery and all the crap that lead up to it, then a botched cataract surgery (which, btw is working out) and finally having Mark in the hospital for six weeks really tried our faith, however faith, family and heli's, as always brought us through.

Stay in touch and don't even hesitate to let me know if I can help.
Happy Holidays,
Doc
