This may sound like a silly question. How do the blade grips come off of the CP? I have tried loosening them but the screw on the other side turns. So I figured I would outsmart it and use an allen wrench on the other side to hold it and they won't budge. What am I doing wrong? Are they that hard to get out? GGGGRRRRRRRRR

Yes they are loctited, just use enough force and they should pop loose.

Once ya get one grip popped loose and the feathering spindle out, it's a real b**ch to get the tight screw off to remove the other grip. What works really well for me is to wrap a few layers of duct or electrical tape around the center of the feathering spindle and then grab it with a pair of pliers while unscrewing the other grip bolt. The tape keeps the pliers from chewing up the spindle. Just make sure you clean any adhesive off the spindle before you put it back together.

Last time I took mine apart I just used a piece of heavy paper towel and pliers. Worked fine, no damage.

My Twister has the same construction, I had to send away for a second allen wrench to enable me to get it apart. You should use a spot of loctite when you reassemble the bolts to the shaft, but I admit  that I have not and they are still solid. My bird usually snaps the small control arms off the blade grips in a crash so I've changed quite a few grips and shafts!!!!!!!
