I bought a perry pump for my CSpec(gold head). I have seen all the pictures with the t in the line adn the check valve, along with the modifications to the pump.

I also know the new OS enigne doesn't use the muffler pressure, and the tank is vented to atmosphere, which would make sense as it is less complicated.

What would be wrong with doing the same, like the instructions in the pump's literature say and just put a filter on the vent line to keep any crud from sucking back into the tank?

Thanks,
Ivan

You can try it. You will find that it is best to just the line unobstructed and vented directly to atmosphere. The line without a filter will not suck anything into the tank.

I have been messing with this setup, and it works fairly well, but I have no idea which way to turn the screw on the pump to decrease fuel flow. I can't seem to get it to idle right yet, it is too rich.

Other than that it works pretty good but you have no warning as to the fuel running out, it just quits, kind of like a YS. No more leaning out. HOORAA!
