Hi Everybody,
Wondering how to adjust the servo travel volume on the 9CHP like I do on the 9Z to make the throws on elevator and aileron be exact at max travel both ways, but can't use subtrim.......already used to work out interraction. Anybody know?
Thanks in advance,

What kind of interraction did you correct with subtrim?
To make the swash plate servos all travel the same up and down I would think you could use ATV. That is how I have done it on the 9Z in couple of cases. Doesn't the 9C have ATV's also? If it does you would adjust either the aileron, elevator or collective ATV to get them travelig the same distance. In SR3 mode I would think the ATV values would change directions when the collective stick crossed over center.
It takes a little time, but I prefer to try and get everything correct mechanially before I do anything electronically. It can be done, just have to do it.

Mechanically is is very close to 100%. I used my ATV's to make the swash level at high and low stick. How do I now use them again to ensure that I get the same acount of Cyclic travel in opposing directions? It must be an indication that my mechanical setup is off. I don't seee how because everything is at perfect 90's. Now is when I miss my Z.
Thanks for the info David!!

OK Mechanically is is great.
My setup Procedure:
set the swash level at mid stick 0 Degrees with swash tool. Use ATV's to get swash level at high and low stick. How can I now use ATV's to get the total collective travel to be equal on elevator and aileron? ATV's all used up.
Maybe I'm not following here or something. Sorry to be so thick.

Hey will
Try using swash afr
U can set it on aileron, elevator, and pitch
It effects the travel of the function
They way I had mine setup was to ude the atv's to level the swash at the top and bottom, and then I used the swash afr to get for cyclic and collective pitch

Will,
Yes you can use the Swash AFR in the Swash menu. You increase/ decrease the precentages in Aileron for left and right travel ( cyclic) , the same applies for elevator. Also can increase the collective travel range with the pitch in the swash menu.
For example
Swash AFR
Aileron = 60% Controls travel of left and right cyclic
Elevator= 60% Controls travel of fore and aft cyclic
Pitch= 60% Controls travel of the collective
Increase or decrease those those numbers to get the total travel range on each each control that you prefer.

Thanks for the info. I have the total range I want, just not equal on each side of the stick. My linkages are 100% right on mechanically. I used the MA servo position tool and everything else is perfectly perpendicular. I still get 1 degree of cyclic more in one direction than the other on both cyclic pitch and roll. Swash AFR will set the total travel, but not control the trabel each way of center like AFR on the 9Z.
:DOH
On the 9Z you can easily deal with this, looks like on the 9C, you cannot.

Dunno about a footaba but can you set Dual rates independantly for each side set your left (or right) rate to be a tad less then the other to equal out the throw.
Dunno if this might screw up expo a little so don't do too much diferential.

Interesting Spitty. :) Thank you everybody.
