i have a trex 450 and of course it uses the same battery to power the motor and servos.
but i have been looking a building a trex 600, and the align bec seems to use a separate battery to run the servos.
aftermarket becs are available, but it got me thinking; does anyone use a separate battery to power the radio/servos on a electric heli? it would seem to be problematic, because if you use the main battery it would give you some indication before it died, whereas a separate battery wouldnt.
am i missing something here so that it makes more sense to use a separate battery? any recommendations?
thanks
