Neu 1907 on 11T

as title says, I have been flying my 550 now!

Not scared of it at all anymore.. flying low and fairly hard with it..

Ok now for the details and question :)

at 100% on 11T my ice 100 datalogger shows a constant rpm of 2200

The heli flies fine but of course it is not as agile as i would like.

I have seen Andyz video on 100% 11T and he is pulling off 4 point tocs. I simply bog down too much to achieve even the second tic toc, regardless how much i try to finesse it.

I think 2350 is the sweet spot for the 550.

I am flying the pro 3d blades on it and have 2 sets of the new Helidirect 550s, but havent tried them yet.

I know the zweaves work better than the pro 3d blades and rpms are prob a bit higher due to it being lighter.


My question is what RPMs are you guys getting from the rotortechs ? Maybe I should invest in a set for once.

I flew about 30 packs this weekend without incident.. the 550 is very precise and so easy to see that crashing it should be very rare unless i have mechanical failure.

I'd throw a 12T Pinion on if it were me. Are you running the 1400kv version of that motor?

Yes the 1400 I had the 12t but it seemed feel very boggy. So I went to 11t 100%

I don't think the motor or pinon is your problem. What head speed change rate did you set in your ICE100? The default ''medium 5'' feels mushy, too high will strip the main gear though. I'd try 6 or 7 and see how it goes.

i have it at 16 actually.. no issues with main gear.. but I also dotn have govenor mode on either.

I saw a you tube video Slyster posted setting up the cc100 with the 1907 that was his setting too

Did you try them black blades yet Mike? Give them a shot.. I am super impressed... they feel much more locked in than the z-weaves.. although I like those too.. now I am down to 2 sets :roll:. The z-weaves are a lot louder though.. and that is pretty cool.

That the ones! They came in stock recently and I just got my 3 pair. s0laris scored some too. They are awesome.. they are so quiet and precise. I am going to use up (i.e. crash.. probably this weekend at MN's largest funfly!) my 2 remaining z-weaves before I use those bad boys.. by then I'll know if it was my imagination or if they really feel that much different.

I will try them out this wekeend. I have 2 sets. I think they onlyt ordered 20 as on the blade it seems to suggest a lot of 20.

one set looks great.

the other set looks like a "plug" was made in the carbon fiber and sanded smooth.. kinda bugs me
